The Right-Click Menu in Account Reconciliation

How Do I...

A right mouse click on one of the transactions listed in the Account Reconciliation window brings up a menu of options for working with the transaction. These options include the following:

Clear: If the transaction has been cleared, this first option will have a check beside it.

To unclear the transaction, left-click the Clear option. The check will be removed from the menu and from the Status column for this transaction.

If the transaction has not been cleared, there will be no checkmark beside the Clear option. Left-click the option to clear the transaction. A checkmark will now appear in the menu and in the Status column for the transaction.

Delete: If this is an imported bank record that has not been autocleared, you can left-click the Delete option to get rid of the record if it represents either a bank error or a duplicate transaction. (Sage 50 Premium Accounting and higher)

Manual Match: If this is an imported bank record that has not been autocleared, left-click Manual Match to match the record with an existing Sage 50 transaction. The Manual Matching window will appear. Tell me more about matching bank records with Sage 50 transactions. (Sage 50 Premium Accounting and higher)

Create New: If this is an unmatched imported bank record that has not been autocleared, left-click Create New to create a new record based on it. An additional menu will appear. (Sage 50 Premium Accounting and higher)

Quick Action Buttons: If this option is checked, the Quick Action buttons are activated.

This means that when you select a transaction, the available Quick Action buttons will automatically appear below the transaction line. To activate or deactivate these buttons, left-click this option. Tell me more about the Quick Action buttons.

What's This?: Left-click this option to see context-sensitive (What's This?) Help for the transaction list box, including explanations of the columns (for example, Status) that appear in the box.
