Use this to open an existing Sage 50 company or to convert a QuickBooks or DacEasy company.
Companies: Select a company by double-clicking on its name in the list. If your company name does not appear, the path may be incorrect. Check the Directories structure and change the path, if necessary.
Directories: Use this to select the folder where your company is stored. When a directory is selected, all the company folders it contains appear in the list box.
List Companies of Type: Select the type of company to open. You have three choices: Sage 50, QuickBooks, or DacEasy. If you choose QuickBooks, you must locate and select the QuickBooks (COMPANY.QBW) data file. Then, Sage 50 will create a new company based on the QuickBooks and convert it to the Sage 50 format.
Note: List Companies of Type is not available if you currently have another Sage 50 company open and are trying to open another company or create a new company.
Drives: Select the drive where you keep your company information.
Network: Select this button to locate a network drive, if applicable.
