This is much more powerful than simply sending a report to Excel. Intelligence Reporting sends a report to Excel that has extensive filtering capabilities, data containers, and pivot tables you can use to customize the report. You can use the Report Manager to create new reports so you don't have to customize the report in Excel every time you run it.

There are additional add-on components that allow you to create your own data containers and include data from different databases in the same report.
