Check for Sage 50 product updates
Perform other administrative tasks
Use suggestions listed below to help resolve issues that may arise while updating Sage 50 products with Sage 50's Online Update utility.
If you are having trouble connecting to the Internet to check for product updates, check your Internet settings or contact your Internet service provider. Sage 50 Online Update requires an Internet connection.
If you are in a network environment, if your network uses a firewall, and if you are having trouble connecting to the Internet, some proxy server security settings may prevent you from checking for and downloading Sage 50 updates. If this is the case, check with your network administrator to correct the problem, and try the update process again. If this is not possible, use your browser to search for and manually download product updates. Product updates are available for download at Sage 50's Web site at http://na.sage.com/us/support .
If your Internet connection is lost during an update download process, you must repeat the download process again. If you have selected more than one update to download and continue to have connection problems, try downloading one product update at a time.
If you have successfully downloaded a product update but the installation process fails, try to install the update manually. All update files downloaded from Sage 50's Online Update utility are copied to an Updates folder located in your datapath. The datapath is where your company data is located. You can go to Maintain Company information to see your company's datapath. Using Windows Explorer, locate the Updates folder, and double-click the update setup file. Follow the onscreen setup instructions to install the update.
If you have successfully downloaded and installed a product update, but you receive errors when starting Sage 50, try restarting Windows.
