Use the Type field on the General tab of the Maintain Employees/Sales Reps to group like employees together. For example, if you have some employees who are full-time and some who are part-time, you can enter "FULL" or "PART" to describe them. You can enter up to eight characters.
You can also mask the types when you use Select for Payroll Entry.
Here's an example of how to set up the type for masking:
If you want to list all the part-time employees who work at the West End location, but don't care what department they're in, you could enter PAWE**. If you want to see all the West End employees regardless of employment status or department enter **WE**. The asterisks (*) are wild card characters and the WE makes sure that only employees in the West End location are shown.
If you enter "full" as a selection criterion, employees who are identified as "FULL" will not be included.
