Customize Shortcuts

How Do I...

Use this to select the shortcuts that will appear in the Shortcuts section of the Sage 50 Navigation Bar. You can choose from a number of available shortcuts that take you to different parts of Sage 50. For example, you could choose to include an Reconcile Accounts shortcut to take you to the Sage 50 Account Reconciliation window.

Add a Shortcut

You select the shortcuts that you want by clicking the Add a Shortcut button. This pops up a list of areas of Sage 50 such as Customers & Sales and Vendors & Purchases. Click one of these areas, and you see an additional menu or menus with Sage 50 tasks that you can select—for example, Bills - Enter Bill.

Select a task that you want to add as a shortcut; it will then appear in the Available Shortcuts box at the middle of the window.

Move Up/Move Down

Use these buttons to change the order of shortcuts appearing in the Selected Shortcuts box. Just highlight the shortcut you want to move, and then select the appropriate button to move the shortcut up or down in the list.

Rename

You can change the name of a shortcut. Highlight the shortcut, select Rename, and then type in a new name (maximum 51 characters).

Delete

You can remove any unwanted shortcut too. Highlight the shortcut and select Delete.

Reset Defaults

There are seven default shortcuts. If you select the Reset Defaults button, these seven shortcuts will appear in the Selected Shortcuts box. Selecting the OK button at this point will close the window and restore the defaults to the Navigation Bar.

Add a Space

Use this to add a space between shortcuts in the Selected Shortcuts List. The space will appear in the Shortcuts section of the Navigation Bar; it can be used to separate groups of shortcuts. For example, suppose that you had a group of shortcuts related to customers. You could add a separator after this group to separate it from a following group of vendor-related shortcuts.
