Sage 50 allows you to extract from and add data to your Sage 50 company. The Select Import/Export window is used to determine what information is to be imported or exported and where it is coming from or going to.
The toolbar at the top of the window contains the following buttons: Close, Delete, Import, Export, and Help.
Important! Please read the Import/Export Tips section before you begin importing data. This topic contains valuable information that will help you avoid possible import errors. If you continue to have import problems, see Troubleshooting Import/Export.
On the left of the Select Import/Export window is the program area (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and so on), where you select what type of data you want to import or export. When you select a program area, Sage 50 displays a list of field templates associated with that area on the right. Once a field template is selected (highlighted in the list), Sage 50 displays its description at the bottom of the window.
Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, General Ledger, Inventory, Jobs, and Time/Expense (Sage 50 Premium Accounting and higher): Select one of the program areas on the right side of the window to display a list of available templates, which you can choose to import or export.
Account Reconciliation: Select this program area to export electronic-banking data for the purposes of automating bank account reconciliation. Tell me more about electronic banking.
