Fonts in Forms Design

How Do I...

In Forms Design, you can only use scalable fonts. Scalable fonts were created to display and print properly, because they shrink or grow correctly when you preview a document. All TrueType fonts and vector fonts are scalable; some PostScript fonts are scalable. When you select a font in Forms Design—for text, data, or group objects—the only fonts that are available (listed in font selection dialogs) are scalable fonts.

Standard forms that come with Sage 50 use Arial as the default font for data and text fields. In addition, Table Headings will include a gray fill on plain paper forms.

If you used a previous version of the product and had customized forms using non-scalable fonts, these forms will print correctly, but they will not preview correctly. To correct this problem, change the font for all objects to be a scalable font (the only fonts listed). If you copy an existing object on one of these converted forms, it will still use the non-scalable font.
