Financial Statement Wizard - Headers and Footers

How Do I...

In this window you choose the text of headers and footers that will appear on the financial statement you're creating. As many as four headers and two footers can appear on the statement.

  1. For each header or footer you want to appear on the statement, select the Print check box to the left. For example, to have a fourth header appear on the report, select the Print box next to Header 4.
  2. For each header and footer you have chosen to appear on the statement, enter the text of that header or footer. For example, if you want Header 3 to say that the statement is covering the current period, you might enter "For the Current Period Ending."

Note: If you choose not to have one of the available headers or footers appear on the statement, a special condition occurs. Tell me more about this.

  3. Header and footer text can contain special data fields that add variable information, such as your company name or today's date. To add special data to a header or footer, select next to the text of that header or footer.
  4. From the drop-down list, select the data field you want to add.

Note: The data field you add will appear surrounded with dollar signs and parentheses. For example, if you add your company name to header or footer text, it will appear like this: $(compnam)$. If you edit the text of a header or footer, be sure that any special data fields within the text retain this format. Otherwise, they won't appear the way you expect when you print or display your financial statement.

  5. When finished, select the Next button to continue designing the statement.

Sage 50 displays the Financial Statement Wizard - Date Range and Account Masking window.
