On this tab of the Maintain Vendors window, you set up vendor insurance information. You can set up insurance information for workers compensation, general liability, umbrella, and automobile insurance. For each type of insurance, you can track the policy number, expiration date, and the insurance company name. You can also enter a note.
While all of the insurance information is important, the expiration date is perhaps the most important because it provides additional information to help you select vendors/subcontractors that you want to do business with. Vendors with expired insurance can be a liability to your business.
