Use this procedure to set the default number of decimal places used for quantity and unit price fields, as well as a variety of "standard" fields that don't fall into either of those categories. See a list of standard fields and where they show up in Sage 50.

You can select from zero to five decimal places.

  1. From the Options menu, select Global Options. Then, select the Accounting tab.
  2. In the section headed Number of Decimal Places, use the drop-down lists to select the number of decimal places you want to use for Quantity fields, Unit Price fields, and Standard fields. In each case, select from zero to five. The default is two.

For example, if the default is set to two, then entering 1075 will display 10.75. Entering 75 will display 0.75. Entering 1.075 will display 1.08. Get more information about decimal point entry .

  3. Select OK to save your default settings and close the window.
