Convert Sales Quotes and Orders

Create a new sales order.
How?
1. In the Home window, click Customers & Sales on the navigation pane.
2. In the Tasks pane, right-click the Sales Order icon and select Create Order from the menu.
In the Order/Quote Number box, click .
(Optional) In the Show section, select Orders and Quotes to display all available transactions.
(Optional) If there are a lot of current transactions in the list, select a sort order in the View orders or quotes by list.
Select the transaction you want to convert and click Select.
Click the Convert button and select Convert Sales Order to Sales Invoice.
Enter the number of items you are selling in the Quantity column. To fill all of the items on the order, click in the toolbar.

Note: If you are partially filling the order and want to cancel the back order for any remaining items, click in the toolbar.

(Optional) If the customer is paying the sales invoice by credit card and you have set up a merchant account, click the Process Credit Card button to get authorization for the payment.

Note: If the sales invoice has already been prepaid in full with a credit card, change the Payment Method box to a non-credit card payment method.

Create a new sales quote.
How?
1. In the Home window, click Customers & Sales on the navigation pane.
2. In the Tasks pane, right-click the Sales Quotes icon and select Create Quote from the menu.
In the Order/Quote Number box, click .
(Optional) In the Show section, select Orders and Quotes to display all available transactions.
(Optional) If there are a lot of current transactions in the list, select a sort order in the View orders or quotes by list.
Select the transaction you want to convert and click Select.
Click the Convert button and select Convert Sales Quote to Sales Invoice.
Enter the number of items you are selling in the Quantity column. To fill all of the items on the order, click in the toolbar.

Select the quote you want to convert and click Select.
Click the Convert button and select Convert Sales Quote to Sales Order.
Make any required changes to the order.
(Optional) If the customer is paying the sales order by credit card and you have set up a merchant account, click the Process Credit Card button to get authorization for the payment.
Click Process or Print & Process.
