Online and Mobile Invoicing with Sage One
Online and mobile invoicing is exclusive to Sage 50c 1 Subscription to a service plan that includes Mobile Invoicing with Sage One is required. Mobile Invoicing with Sage One can only be used to connect with a single Sage 50 company. Sage 50 cannot connect to Sage One with account credentials for Sage One Accountant's Edition. and is available through integration with Sage One, our online accounting solution.
Create and send invoices to your customers using your computer or the mobile app. Your customers will have instant access to their bill and can print or download the invoice, or immediately pay you with PayPal. Better yet, if you have a Sage Payment Solutions merchant account your customers can pay by credit or debit card. Get paid faster and make it easier for your customers to do business with you.
You or your employees no longer need to wait to get back to the office to create an invoice. You can now create transactions on the move using Sage One and your data will sync back to Sage 50.
Activating Your Free Sage One Account
You should have received an email from Sage with a Sage One activation code2 Each subscription to a service plan that includes Mobile Invoicing with Sage One receives one free activation code. so you can sign up at no cost. Make sure you check your junk mail.
I can't find my code. What should I do?
Contact Sage via chat. Support will help you so you can retrieve your activation code and sign up.
How many activation codes will I receive?
Only one activation code is issued per Sage 50 Accounting subscription plan.
Where can I activate my Sage One account?
- Go to http://sageoneactivate.com/.
- Enter your first and last name, business name, telephone number, address, city, and state. United States should be selected by default.
- Open the service menu and select Sage One Accounting.
- Enter your activation code.
- Accept the terms and conditions.
- Click Sign up. You will receive a confirmation email. Confirm your account so you can set up your Sage One company.
Creating a Company in Sage One
When you first sign in to Sage One, the quick start wizard opens. You have to enter some information to get your business up and running.
- Enter the business name. The name appears on all customer invoices generated by Sage One.
- Select the type of company. You can choose from Sole Proprietor, Partnership, Limited Liability Corporation, C Corporation, S Corporation, or Other.
- Click Save and continue.
- Enter the address where you will conduct business. The ZIP code helps determine the company's state taxes automatically. The address also appears on all customer invoices.
- Click Save and continue. Sage One will display the sales taxes used in your company.
- Click All done to close the wizard.
Accepting Online Payments
Online payments are a convenient way for customers to pay you. You can accept payments from all major credit and debit cards by using Sage Payment Solutions or PayPal.
If you don't have a merchant account, learn more about Sage Payment Solutions. If you already have a Sage Payment Solutions account for online payments, you need to do the following:
- Create a bank account in Sage One where all online payments and refunds will be recorded. You need this account to keep track of your credit card transactions and make reconciliation much easier.
- Enter your Sage Payment Solutions or PayPal details in Sage One. After you enter your Sage Payment Solutions account information, your invoices will have an option so customers can pay you online. If you provide your PayPal information, your customers will see a PayPal option.

After You Connect to Sage One
Which records are uploaded to Sage One?
When you first connect to Sage One, your Sage 50 chart of accounts and sales taxes will be uploaded and mapped in your Sage One business. Also, Sage 50 uploads your top 100 customers
Warning! A Sage 50 company with a chart of accounts containing account segments cannot use Mobile Invoicing with Sage One.
Which records and transactions are added to Sage 50?
When you download from Sage One, Sage 50 receives new customers and inventory items as well as customer invoices and their associated payments.
Notes: In Sage 50, you can adjust any invoices downloaded from Sage One; however, if you update these transactions in Sage One and sync back to Sage 50, the existing transaction in Sage 50 will be overwritten.
