The
conversion cannot find an accounts receivable account in your QuickBooks
chart of accounts. Please correct this by creating an accounts receivable
account in QuickBooks and try again.
If you have one or more customers set up in QuickBooks, Sage 50 requires
that you have an accounts receivable account set up in your QuickBooks
chart of accounts before converting company data to the Sage 50
format.
- Start QuickBooks and open your company.
- From the Lists
menu, select Chart of Accounts.
- If you do not have an accounts receivable account,
you must create one. If you already have this type of account, skip this
step.
- Select the Account
button. Then, select New from
the drop-down menu.
- Select Accounts
Receivable from the Other Account Types
drop-down list and enter any other additional information you want about
this account. Be sure to include an account number.
- When finished, select OK
to add the account to the chart of accounts. Continue with step 5.
- If you think you already have an accounts receivable
account set up, scroll through your list of accounts and select the account.
Verify that the account type is Accounts Receivable. If not, you must
edit the account record.
- Select the Account
button. Then, select Edit Account from
the drop-down menu.
- Select Accounts
Receivable from the Account Type
drop-down list and select OK.
- Open Sage 50
and start the QuickBooks conversion process again.
