Financial Statement Wizard - Formatting and Default Printer

How Do I...

This window lets you choose layout options that define how your new financial statement will display or print. Here, you can also choose the default printer that Sage 50 will use to print the statement.

Formatting

  1. To have consecutive page numbers appear on the printed or displayed financial statement, select the Print Page Numbers check box.
  2. If you want zero dollar amounts to appear on the printed or displayed financial statement, select Show Zero Amounts.
  3. To print or display all account names with initial capital letters, select Print All Words Capitalized. For example, choose this option if you want to see "Payroll Checking Account" instead of "payroll checking account."
  4. In the Right Margin and Left Margin fields, enter in inches the amount of space you want to leave at each margin. Enter 1/2 inch as .5.
  5. If you want the report centered on the page instead of left justified, select Center on Page.

Default Printer

Here, the wizard displays the current Windows default printer.

Sage 50 will always use this printer to print the financial statement unless you change it.

  1. To select a new default printer for printing the statement, select .

    The standard Windows Print dialog appears.

  3. Choose any available settings that will make the financial statement print as you want. Settings include:
  4. If you need to set special across-the-board print properties for your financial statement (such as printing on two sides of the paper), select the Properties button. Then make your selections in the Document Properties window.
  5. When finished working in the Print dialog, select OK to return to the Financial Statement wizard.

    Now, whenever Sage 50 prints this statement, the program will use the printer and printer settings that you have set up as default.

  6. Finally, when finished working in the Formatting and Default Printer window, select the Next button to continue designing the statement.

    Sage 50 displays the Financial Statement Wizard - Finish window.
