Use this procedure to duplicate an existing template. Copying templates provides a quick starting point when designing a new template. For example, you can use this procedure to customize one of Sage 50's predefined templates.
Select the Customize <task window> Layout option from the pull-down menu. Sage 50 displays the Maintain Template window that corresponds to the respective task.
The template selected is the one currently in use in the previous task window.
Enter the new template name and description.
If available, choose the form you want to use to print the transaction when using this template.
In the Entry Screen column of the Add/Remove Fields & Columns section, check the checkboxes for any fields that you want to appear on the entry screen. Uncheck the checkboxes for any fields that you do not want to appear on the entry screen.
If a checkbox is disabled, it means you cannot add or remove this field from the entry screen.
When you have finished choosing the fields you want to add or remove, click the Save button.
Note: If you have the option to select a printed form to use with this template, you can customize that form at the same time that you are designing the entry screen. How do I design a form from this screen?
