Saving Your Company Data

Sage 50 Accounting automatically saves your changes as you work on your company file. As soon as you process a transaction or save a record, the changes are immediately saved in your company data.

Use these save commands to quickly create a copy of your company file:

  • Save As - Closes your original file and opens a newly-created copy. You can use this command to quickly create a backup of your data.
  • Save a Copy - Keeps your original file open while Sage 50 Accounting creates a copy. Keeps the original file open. You can use this command to open copies in which you enter trial data. You can also use the Save a Copy command to save a copy of your data onto a diskette (if it will fit) or other media.

Note: If you are using Sage 50 Accounting on a network, you can only save copies of your company to remote folders for which you have been given write permissions.
