Arrange Icons in the Icon Window
In the icon window, you can customize the way the icons are arranged onscreen.
Before you can perform these
tasks
You should be in icon view—on the View menu, choose Icon or Small Icon.
To align the icons in a grid
pattern
- In the icon window on the toolbar, make sure the Auto Arrange button
is turned off. - Click the Arrange Icons button
.
To sort the icons alphabetically
In the icon window on the toolbar, click the Re-sort Icons button 
.
Turn on or off the Auto Arrange
button
- In the icon window on the toolbar, click the Auto Arrange button to turn it on or off.
- (Optional) Move the icons within the grid.
