Bilingual Display

All the Sage 50 Accounting features in your company file, including all on-screen displays, printed reports, and the online help are available in English and French. You can switch between languages when you select Switch to English/ French from the View menu.

Preferred language of use

You can specify which language a vendor, customer, user, or employee uses, so you can communicate with them in their preferred language. The language preference settings affect vendor and customer forms, cheques, and transaction windows.

Bilingual data entry

After turning on the My Company Does Business in English and French feature, you can enter a description or data in both English and French wherever you see this button . For example, use this feature in your customer settings if you want to use a French comment in all invoices to your French customers. The preferred language for a customer, employee, user, or vendor determines the language in which these records are displayed on-screen.

When you use the bilingual data entry feature, you must enter text in both the English and French boxes. If you enter text in only one language, the program will automatically copy this text to the other language box.

Looking up a transaction

To look up and reprint a sales or purchase transaction in its original language, you must restore the vendor's or customer's language if their current language preference is different than the language in the original transaction.

Searching your Sage 50 Accounting company file (Sage 50 Premium Accounting)

If you are using the bilingual data entry feature, Sage 50 Accounting limits its search to data entered in your preferred language when you use the Search box in the Home Window.
