Available in Sage 50 Premium Accounting and higher.
Locations allow you to track inventory items in multiple facilities. When you start using locations, one location is created for you. This location has the location code, Primary location, and it is where Sage 50 Accounting puts all of your company's existing inventory until you transfer items to other locations that you create.
You can set primary locations and stock levels for inventory items in the inventory item's settings.
If your company assembles items from other inventory items, you can use locations to track stock levels at different facilities and ensure that supplies are where they need to be.
Note: Once a location gets used in a transaction, it cannot be removed or made inactive. Locations also cannot be turned off. If you want to edit location codes, be sure to do so before performing any transactions for them.
