Open Your Company

To open an existing company in Sage 50 Accounting:

1. In the Home window, on the File menu, choose Open Company.
2. Select the company you want to open, and click Open.
3. If you want to convert a company created in an earlier version of Sage 50 Accounting, or a different Sage 50 Accounting product, upgrade the company to the version or product you are using.

Important:

Do not move, rename or delete files in the folder where your company file is located. If you open the folder in which your company file (.SAI) is stored, you will see a folder with the same name that ends with .SAJ. The .SAI is the file you use to open your company, but it relies on the data in the .SAJ folder to work.

To re-open one of the last five companies you have opened: (Sage 50 Accountant Edition)

1. In the Home window, on the File menu, choose Recently Opened Companies.
2. Select a company from the list.
