Importing Records from QuickBooks

You can easily import records (vendors, customers, employees, inventory and service items, and projects) from QuickBooks® .IIF files.

After you set up a company in Sage 50 Accounting, use the Import/Export Wizard on the File menu to import all your QuickBooks records, except accounts. When you import records:

• You must be running in single-user mode (Sage 50 Premium Accounting)
• Sage 50 Accounting does not import transactions (journal entries) from QuickBooks so that incoming amounts do not put your accounts out of balance

Note: If you are running QuickBooks 2011 or 2012, instead of importing records you can choose to convert your company data into a Sage 50 Accounting company file by creating a new company in Sage 50 Accounting. The conversion process allows you to convert all QuickBooks records, including accounts.
